Introduction 

DICAMOL PLUS is a combination of three medicines used in the treatment of pain due to muscle spasms. It improves the movement of muscles and provides relief from pain and discomfort related to muscle spasms. This medicine is a pain reliever prescribed to treat a wide variety of conditions and it is commonly used for patients suffering from severe headaches, arthritis, swelling, or skeletal muscle injuries.

DICAMOL PLUS Tablet should be taken with food. This will prevent you from stomach upset. You should use it regularly as advised by your doctor. Do not take more of this medicine or use it for a longer duration than recommended by your doctor.

DICAMOL PLUS Tablet is a combination of a Chlorzoxazone (muscle relaxant) and two pain relieving medicines (Diclofenac and Paracetamol). The muscle relaxant works on the center’s in the brain and spinal cord to relieve muscle stiffness or spasm, thereby improving the movement of muscles. The pain-relieving medicines work by blocking the release of certain chemical molecules in the brain that cause pain and inflammation (redness and swelling).

Diclofenac: Diclofenac is a medicine used to relieve pain and swelling (inflammation) from various light to moderate painful conditions. It is used to treat muscle pain, back pain, toothache, menstrual cramps, and sports injuries It also reduces the pain, swelling, and stiffness of joints caused by arthritis. Reducing these symptoms helps you do your daily activities normally.

Paracetamol: Paracetamol is a medication and a common painkiller used to treat pain and fever. It is typically used for light to moderate pain relief such as headaches, toothache, or sprains, and to reduce fevers caused by illnesses such as colds and flu. Paracetamol is often recommended as one of the first treatments for pain, as it is safe for most people and its side effects are rare. Most people can take paracetamol safely, including pregnant women, breastfeeding women but always get advice before taking paracetamol if you have “liver or kidney problems, problems with alcohol or very underweight”.

Chlorzoxazone: Chlorzoxazone is a centrally acting muscle relaxant used to treat muscle spasms and relieve the pain or discomfort caused by acute (short-term), painful muscle or bone conditions. It acts on the spinal cord by depressing reflexes. It is commonly used with rest, physical therapy, analgesics, and other treatments. It works by helping to relax the muscles. Chlorzoxazone is available in generic form. You should not use chlorzoxazone if you are allergic to it.
