Thromzee Ointment

Mode of Action: Heparin inhibits thrombin formation, promotes fibrinolysis & helps absorption of the more superficial microthrombi. Benzyl nicotinate by vasodilation, enhences local heparin absorption. The process of healing is substantially promoted thereby & pain is rapidly alleviated.

Indications: Acceleration of absorption of haematoma & other inflammatory infiltrations e.g. thrombophlebitis, superficial thrombosis, acute tendovaginits, superficial bruises, etc.

Direction of Use: Following the physician's recommendations Thromzee ointment is carefully & thinly applied to the skin, 2 to 3 times daily. The ointment may also spread on a piece of gauze which is placed over the area affected, Rubbing in or massaging should be avoided in thrombosis & thrombophlebitis. in ulcus cruris, Thromzee is applied only to the ulcer margins. It is advisable to continue the treatment for some days after the subsidence of the morbid manifestations. The reddening of the skin which follows the application of Thromzee is the sign of desired augmentation of blood perfusion. Mucous Membrances especially the conjunctiva must not come in contact with Thromzee.
