Cirozin 500 Antibiotic Tablets

Cirozen-500 tablet is an antibiotic medicine which is used in the treatment of bacterial infections. It is also used in treatment of bacterial infections of the urinary tract, nose, throat, skin and soft tissues and lungs (pneumonia). Infection is cured as this medicine kills and stops the growth of bacteria.

Cirozine 500 tablets should be used in doses as advised by your doctor. It may be taken with or without having food, at a fixed time each day. Keep in mind that you do not skip any dose and complete the full course of treatment even if you feel better. Do not take double doses to cover up if you miss a dose.

Do not take this medicine if you are allergic to it. It is rare that some people may have allergic reactions which need urgent medical attention. Signs of this include rashe, swelling of lips, tongue, face, shortness of breath, breathing difficulties etc. Kidney patients should take special care while taking this medicine.

HOW CIROZIN TABLET WORKS

Cirozin 500 tablet works by stopping the action of a bacterial enzyme called DNA-gyrase. This stops the bacterial cells from multiplying and repairing, thereby killing them.

• This medicine may not be safe for use by pregnant women. Limited studies in humans have shown harmful effects on the developing baby. Please consult your doctor.
• This tablet may be safe to use by breastfeeding mothers. Studies have shown that this  medicine does not pass in the breast milk and pose any risk to the baby.
• This medicine may decrease alertness and affect your vision or make you feel sleepy and dizzy which can make it difficult for you to drive.
• This medicine should be used with caution by patients with kidney disease as it may not be safe. Please consult your doctor.
• Cirozin 500 is probably safe to use in patients with liver disease. Please consult your doctor. If you develop any signs of jaundice like yellow eyes and skin, itching and clay colored stools while using this medicine, let your doctor know.

HOW TO USE

This medicine is to be taken in the dose and duration as advised by your doctor. Swallow it as a whole. Do not chew, crush or break it. Cirozen 500 tablets may be taken with or without food. Take it daily at a fixed time.

Avoid taking this medicine with caffeine and chocolate. Also avoid food containing caffeine and chocolate such as cocoa leaves, tea leaves.
